HOUSEHOLDERS will be able to get advice and ideas about how to reduce, re-use and recycle their waste in Malvern this weekend.
Worcestershire County Council's waste reduction team will be out in force at the Malvern Fringe Arts event, whcih takes place between 11.30am and 6pm on Saturday.
Members of the team will be on hand at a stand in Priory Park to provide passers-by with information about how residents can claim up to £80 cash back for fitting a food waste disposer - which grinds up waste and ejects it harmlessly into the water system - in their home.
There will also be information on real nappies, how to stop getting junk mail, and tips on low-waste shopping.
The waste reduction team will also be giving out information on local organisations where people can donate furniture, electrical goods, bicycles and many more unwanted items, as well as promoting composting, recycling, and Freecycle - an on-line message board where people can offer their unwanted possessions free of charge to others.
