A MAN was taken to hospital with cuts and other wounds following an alleged assault at Malvern Link railway station which led to two arrests.
The man's injuries were not life threatening and he later discharged himself from hospital when he was arrested.
British Transport Police confirmed that a second man from the Malvern area was also arrested on suspicion of assault in connection with the incident at 4.31am yesterday morning.
Both men are in police custody. Police were unable to confirm whether or not a weapon was involved.
A spokesman for Central Trains confirmed that the station was fully re-opened at about 10am.
CCTV cameras were installed at the railway station in December but Cen-tral Trains was unable to confirm whether police were studying footage as evidence.
Trains ran as normal. However, the longer, four carriage trains to Worces-ter, Birmingham and Hereford could not stop while police investigators examined the scene.
British Transport Police CID officers are investigating the incident and enquiries are continuing. Anyone with information should call police on 0800 425040.
