THE class of 1948 turned out for a Ledbury Grammar School reunion.
About 30 former pupils arrived at St Katherine's Hall, Ledbury, to reminisce about old times.
The reunion was organised to coincide with the 70th birthdays of the former scholars.
Former grammar school girl Elaine Toyer said: "One lady, Gillian Drummond, travelled all the way down from Darlington just to be here. It all came back to us, and most were happy memories."
Mrs Toyer recalled how the boys had to wear caps and the girls boaters, and how eating in the street was strictly forbidden and punishable by Saturday morning detention.
The school, before its merger with John Masefield High School, was based at Upper Hall.
Mrs Toyer said: "Even today, most of us won't eat in the street! We all held the school in very high regard."
On Saturday, the former pupils enjoyed a meal at St Katherine's Hall. The party then went to the Burgage Hall, to view the lectern that was made by the boys of the grammar school. Then it was on to Ledbury church.
