"SAVE our stables" is the message from youngsters who ride at Walnut riding stables, Hanley Swan, near Malvern.
Demolition and redevelopment on Blackmore Park Industrial Estate, where the business is based, is threatening the future of the popular stables and riding school, which has been around for 20 years.
The premises are rented and the buildings were sold for redevelopment two years ago along with other sites on Blackmore Park Road. These other businesses have since been relocated but Walnut is struggling to continue operating its riding school in the midst of the demolition.
The owners, Blackmore Business and Technology Park, promised new stables would be built nearby. But although planning permission was granted two years ago, they have not materialised.
Jane Jones, who runs the stables and riding school, says building work is making the site look like a "war zone" and she is worried about the safety of the children and horses.
She fears the new stables may never be built and she will have to leave.
She said: "It's my livelihood. I'd buy the land and build the new stables myself if I could."
A petition to save the stables, home to 30 animals, has been started by parents of children who use the school.
