A THREE year filming experiment that studied county children as they moved through primary school is complete.
The result is a unique DVD, entitled What A Great Start and on Tuesday, April 24, teachers and other education bosses will watch the first screening at Worcester Rugby Football Club.
Similar in style to television programmes such as Seven Up! and Child Of Our Time, each chapter of the DVD shows contrasting journeys through school and how children learn.
It focuses on how good starts impact on future learning. Some of the children it features, from schools across Worcestershire, were observed for a week-long period, others were followed for three years.
The DVD was produced by award-winning Birmingham-based company Television Junction for Worcestershire County Council.
