A NEW charity to help adults with physical and learning disabilities has opened in Worcester.
The Myriad Centre in St George's Walk, Barbourne, Worcester, is dedicated to providing educational and vocational facilities to adults with complex needs.
It has a range of facilities, such as a sensory room and computing suite. The charity also offers hydrotherapy, physiotherapy and music therapy.
Centre manager Maggie Allen, former head of key stage four at Rose Hill Special School in Warndon, Worcester, said: "It has taken a long time to reach this point and we are very proud of the centre.
"We are very grateful for the support of trustees, parents and associated professionals."
Trustee Peter Reynolds said: "We have had some success in our fund-raising efforts, so far raising more than £20,000 from other trusts and charities, but now we have a base we can start to fund raise in the community.
