BATTLE of Worcester enthusiasts are trying to sort fact from fiction.
Members of the Battle of Worcester Society, who met on Thursday, April 19, are keen to celebrate the anniversary of the 1651 Civil War clash, but to do that want to separate historical fact from local legend.
Society secretary Bernard Mills said: "We don't was to disavow stories, but we want to unearth the historical facts.
"There are no records of any mass graves during the Civil War, but there are rumours of there being one at Powick. Why should Worcester have been an exception?
"We want people to help us unearth the reliable historical facts. There must be parish records and historical archives out there that would shed light on the battle."
