A HAIR stylist has lopped off her sister's locks - all in aid of charity.
Trish Carrey took the scissors to Clare Davies' hair, cutting off more than a foot. Mrs Davies went for the cut on her birthday to raise money for St Richard's Hospice in Worcester and St Michael's Hospice in Hereford - and also to mark 25 years of running the Natural Therapy Centre in Worcester. Her efforts raised £300.
She said: "Over the last 25 years at the centre we have supported many cancer patients who have lost their hair during medical treatment. I feel that having my hair cut is a personal gesture to help raise funds for a very worthy cause."
The Natural Therapy Centre is holding fund-raising events throughout the year and free drop-in healing workshops on the first Saturday (10am to noon) of each month, excluding bank holidays, when donations are welcome.
