A MAN was knocked unconscious outside a Worcester shop, receiving severe facial injuries which needed surgery.
The man was attacked just outside the Spar store in Cranham Drive, Warndon, around 10.15pm on Friday, April 13.
After regaining consciousness, the victim went home and - after continuing to suffer facial pains - went to casualty at Worcestershire Royal Hospital on Wednesday, April 18 where he was found to have severe facial injuries.
He reported the incident to city police on Monday, April 23.
A police spokesman said: "Precisely how the victim came by the severe injuries is not totally clear, as some of them could have been caused by the assault and others by his fall."
The extent of his injuries have required considerable surgery and police are keen to hear from anyone with information.
