THE president welcomed members, visitors and Mrs Bache, guest speaker to the April meeting. We had many items to discuss and resolve during the business affairs after the record and matters arising had been dealt with.
Mrs Bache spoke about the Casualties Union. They act out as casualties, mainly during rehearsals for disasters which requires a lot of patience in waiting around to be rescued'. She demonstrated how to make wounds' using Play Doh and food colouring amongst other things and told us of many experiences in this rather strange occupation.
A lot of the work is held at the fire service training centre near Moreton-in-Marsh. She was very entertaining and we all enjoyed her talk with her good sense of humour.
We celebrate our birthday in April and cannot believe where the last two years have gone. We had delicious cake with the refreshments made by Judy Vale and Carol Chance to mark the day. The raffle was drawn and the meeting closed at noon.
The next meeting is on May 9 at 10am. Call 01905 454478 for details. SYLVIA HUDSON
