A TELEVISION programme about Worcestershire children's first day at school has been put together as part of a filming experiment.
The premier of the DVD, called What A Great Start!, will be shown at Worcester Rugby Club, Sixways, Pershore Lane, Worcester, today.
The DVD by Worcestershire County Council and Television Junction will be screened at 4pm at the club's Hallmark Suite and represents the end of a three-year filming project.
Each chapter of the DVD shows how children learn through play and if they are respected by the adults who teach them.
Annette Bryant, Worcestershire County Council primary/early years inspector, said: "A great start for a child is to have endless opportunities laid before them and to have adults around them who are skilful and confident enough to make them explore those opportunities."
With orders going up to 1,000 copies before its release date, it is anticipated that What a Great Start!, produced by award-winning Birmingham firm Television Junction, will be sold nationwide.
All publicity enquiries should go to Paul Davies on 07976 981 894 or email at info@televisionjunction.co.uk
