A GROUP of hairstylists from Worcester salon The Clip Joint have signed up for an exhilarating abseil at Eastnor Castle in aid of Acorns Child-ren's Hospice.
The team of stylists will first climb the many hundreds of stairs to reach the top of historic Eastnor's north-west tower on Sunday, May 20.
From the top of the tower, they will climb over the edge and begin their abseil down to the ground 150ft below.
Places are still available for the charity fund-raiser. Abseil participants are guaranteed the best views around as they take in the beauty of the Herefordshire, Gloucester-shire and Worcestershire landscapes. The event is also set to be a good day out for family friends of the abseil participants as they'll enjoy reduced castle entry rates.
The Wyre Forest and Queenswood branches of financial services group Foresters are sponsoring the event and will have volunteers on the day to help participants brace themselves for the challenge and will also have a big tombola stall.
Foresters support almost 100 charities across the UK and are regular supporters of Acorns Children's Hospice. Acorns gives support and care to life-limited children and their families across the three counties.
