African wild dogs are set to star in the first episode of a popular television programme back on our screens for a second series.
Viewers of the first series of Safari Park - a documentary following the work that goes on behind the scenes at West Midland Safari Park - can expect more of the same when the eight-week-long series starts on Sunday.
The programme follows staff as they work at the park, near Bewdley. In the first episode, deputy warden Anglea Potter reflects on her working life as she carries out a variety of duties, including the quaintly named poo patrol, as a part of a project looking at the reproductive biology of the African wild dog.
Meanwhile, head warden Bob Lawrence and veterinary nurse Lucy Pearsall will be shown helping out with an operation on a wild dog as well as tracking cheetah thousands of miles away at the park's sister reserve in Namibia, southern Africa.
The first episode of Safari Park will be screened at 6pm on ITV1.
