A PROLIFIC author has paid a visit to a Worcester library.
MC Beaton, author of the Agatha Raisin mystery books, made an appearance at St John's library, in Glebe Close, St John's, as part of its 20th anniversary celebrations.
Beaton, who writes Regency romances under her own name Marion Chesney, is a former journalist who has penned more than 100 books under a range of other pseudonyms.
About 35 people heard her talk on Friday, April 20, about her life and her literary career. She also took questions from the audience.
This Saturday, children's author Justin Richards will be at the library.
Richards, who has written several Dr Who novels and acts as the creative consultant to the BBC's series of Dr Who novels, will be giving talks at 10.30am and again at 2.30pm.
Places at the event must be pre-booked.
