THREE men attacked a cyclist by the river Severn.
Worcester Police are seeking the three white men who assaulted the cyclist and tried to steal his bicycle.
The attack happened at about 3pm on Friday, April 13,when the victim was sitting on a bench near the swan statue on South Quay.
It was not reported to police until Wednesday, April 18.
He was attacked with a piece of wood and another, unknown, item, but the men eventually ran off towards the car park behind the Worcester College of Technology.
A police spokesman said: "This was an un-provoked attack, coupled with an attempt to steal the victim's pedal-cycle.
"Fortunately, the victim was very resilient and the assailants - who, from their accents, may have come from the Stoke-on-Trent area - ran off."
The first is described as being 6ft 2ins tall, of slim build with shoulder-length dark hair and wearing a dark baseball cap and grey tracksuit.
The second is believed to be 6ft 3ins tall, also of slim build, but with short, dark hair and a moustache. He wore dark blue trousers and a type of duffle-coat.
The third was 6ft tall, again of slim build, with medium-length dark hair and wearing a fleece and jeans, both blue. One had the words 'love' and 'hate' tattooed on his knuckles, while another had an anchor sign on a thumb and index finger.
