THE English Symphony Orchestra will raise the roof of Worcester Cathedral tonight.
The concert will feature favourites such as Barber's Adagio For Strings, Handel's Zadok The Priest and Vaughan Williams's Lark Ascending, which was recently voted the best piece of classical music by Classic FM listeners.
Conducted by Vernon Handley, the concert is the first for the ESO chamber orchestra since it re-formed at the beginning of the year.
Mr Bochmann is very invested in seeing the Worcestershire-based ESO thrive. He said: "When you play in London you feel like it is them and us, but here it is a very different atmosphere. With the ESO it feels like we're all taking part in the event. "We are all listening to each other."
To make this evening's concert extra special guests are being invited to meet the orchestra, conductors and ESO board of directors for interval drinks and a post-concert buffet, which will take place in College Hall.
For tickets, priced £22 to £28, call the ESO box office on 01386 791044 or visit www.eso.co.uk
