BIN fires in St Peter's, Worcester, are becoming a nuisance for local residents.
Concerned member of the public David Edgerton spoke out about the problem at a St Peter's Parish Council meeting on Monday (June 29).
He said: "We are still getting a bit of trouble with fires being started near to the multi-use games area off St Peter's Drive.
"Young people are taking stuff out of the bins and setting it on fire.
"There is not much we can do about it but my worry is the hedgerows could go up as well.
"It is quite green so would not burn too much but it would still cause a bit of bother.
"One bin was also completely destroyed by a fire."
He added that members of the public were also concerned about bins overflowing with rubbish during the summer months.
St Peter's Parish Council agreed to look into both of the issues.
