THREE intrepid cyclists from the Evesham area are pedalling the length of the country for charity this week.
Paul Edmondson, aged 28, from Brookedale, Harvington, will began the challenge with Oli Steward, 23, from Port Street, Bengeworth, and Nick Berry, 34, from Main Street in The Lenches.
They will set out on Monday from John O'Groats, Scotland, for a 10-day journey covering 1,000 miles, and finish at Land's End, Cornwall. About Bikes, in Blackminster Road, near Evesham, is supplying the equipment.
The men are raising money for the Tracy Sollis Leukaemia Trust in High Street, Evesham. They have already raised £2,000 in sponsorsship money, but hope to raise a lot more, so they can buy new £3,000 intravenous pumps for the trust.
Sue Sollis, of the trust, said: "It's quite exciting. They've been training for months, and put a lot of hard work into it. The more money we get, the more pumps we can buy."
