ALICE Ottley students tested their scientific knowledge during a week dedicated to the subject.
Science week at the school featured three levels of quizzes, puzzles and riddles to sovle, with prizes up for grabs for the first to finish.
Level 1 activities included questions like What are sharks missing? Is it bones, teeth, gills or livers?' and Is the Milky Way a round ball, a doughnut, a dome shape or a flat spiral?' Years 6 to 11 spent their break-times trying to solve physics problems with a difference. One team built a high tower out of spaghetti and marshmallows while another created a marble run which let marbles through in the shortest time. RGS students joined in some of the fun too, including the chemistry show to raise money for Comic Relief.
To round off the week and inspire the students, an assembly was based on the Nobel Prize.
