A CLASSROOM explosion was among acitivites on offer as part of a science week at a Worcester school.
Pupils at Nunnery Wood High School spent a week looking at different parts of science, with demonstrations called Great Balls of Fire, Money to Burn, Rainbow Explosion, Ballistic Missiles and Exploding Custard, Screaming Jelly Babies and Cannon Fire.
The week was themed Space....The Final Frontier, and students from Years 7, 8 and 9 took part in activities and competitions on the topic.
These included using smart' materials in space rockets, designing space foods, making an animated movie of a tour of the solar system and desinging space stations.
Every student was encouraged to take part and more than 100 prizes of CDs and book tokens were up for grabs for the pupils who won competitions organised by each subject department.
