THIS abnormally thin and weak dog had to be put down after it was found abandoned in a Worcestershire village.
The elderly female cross breed dog, similar in appearance to a German shepherd but smaller in size, also had two large tumours on its body.
Pip Singleton, a dog warden from Wychavon District Council, was called out to collect the black and tan dog, which was found on Kineton Lane, Dormston, near Inkberrow, on Tuesday, April 3.
RSPCA Inspector Josie Oak is appealing for information about the dog, which was subsequently put down by a vet.
"This suffering animal was in a poor condition when found," she said. "She was emaciated and had two tumours indicating that she had been neglected for some time. Due to the fact she was found in such a quiet, rural location it is highly possible she was dumped in Dormston.
"I would urge anyone with information to please contact me. If this dog was an owned animal then she was badly let down by her owner. I would like to ensure that no other animal is suffering the same fate at the hands of this individual."
Anybody with any information is asked to call the RSPCA on 08705 555999.
