A MAN accused of speeding on Worcester's Bath Road said it was because his speedometer was not working after an MOT.
Representing himself, Christopher Peach, aged 64, admitted speeding but said he could not remember the incident.
Worcester Magistrates Court was told Peach, of Tudor Way, Dines Green, Worcester was accused of driving at 35 mph in his Proton on Wednesday April, 25, 2006. He was previously tried in his absence but the conviction and sentence were set aside after he told the court he had not known anything about the court case until baliffs came to his house to collect the fine.
He was fined £60 and had three penalty points put on his licence.
