ELDERLY people are trying their hands at blogging, internet shopping and myspace, thanks to Age Concern Herefordshire and Worces-tershire.
The charity is holding internet classes for beginners for anyone over 50 at its centre in Sansome Street, Worcester.
Free one-to-one taster sessions are held on Mondays and Tuesdays at 1.30pm and 2.15pm, and last 45 minutes. They teach basic skills such as how to switch the computer on, use the mouse and keyboard, and send e-mails. A computer club, held between 10am and noon every Monday, costing £1 per session teaches more advanced web skills.
Magda Praill, chief executive of Age Concern Herefordshire and Worcestershire, said: "With more and more vital services online and with more families choosing to keep in touch via the internet, we want to help people use this technology."
