The UK's most popular and volatile girl Tracy Beaker comes to Malvern Theatres, in the brand new stage show Tracy Beaker Gets Real from 1st May. Created by novelist Jacqueline Wilson in 1991, her book has been adapted for both radio and TV and now BAFTA nominated BBC TV series writer Mary Morris brings it to the stage.
This two-act play tells the story surrounding Tracy's return to the dumping ground: care home of Tracy, Justine Littlewood, Peter and the gang. Sheriff and Elaine the pain have their work cut out when Beaker is boomeranged back to stay- that is until her mum returns from Hollywood to whisk her away of course. It's hard to break through the Beaker armour: just ask her friends, or new care worker Sheriff, or visiting lady-writer Cam. But when Tracy gets what she wished for we find out she's not so tough after all..
The role of Britain's most popular and volatile girl will be played by Pippa Duffy. She acts alongside 2004 x factor finalist Andy Steed, Alice Redmond, Sally Okafor, Natasha Seale and Kirris Riviere.
