A MAN who breached an anti-social behaviour order (Asbo) 12 times has been given a six-month jail term.
Terry Taylor was drunk when he began swearing inside the Nationwide bank in Worcester and asking customers for cigarettes.
Peter Parson, prosecuting, told Worcester Crown Court Taylor was arrested on March 6, when it was discovered he was the subject of an Asbo made on September 2, 2005.
He had breached the order 11 times in the past and had been given sentences of up to two months in jail.
Judge David Matthews said it must be "blindingly obvious" the Asbo, imposed to control Taylor's alcohol abuse, was not working.
He revoked it and told the 42-year-old, of Brookthorpe Close, Warndon, Worcester: "Your behaviour was disgraceful and frightening for customers.
"You need assistance for your drink problem."
Andrew Evans, defending, said Taylor - who admitted the breach - was swearing at himself in the bank for being a pathetic individual and wasting his life.
He had stopped getting drunk between 1996 and 2002 when he was employed as a farm worker but was now unemployed.
