PASSENGERS were showered with glass when a bottle was thrown through a bus window.
Yesterday police appealed for information following the incident, which happened in Belmont Road, Hereford, on Saturday, April 7.
The bus was close to the Tesco store at about 10.13pm when the driver saw a young male on the highway waving his arms.
The vehicle slowed down and someone threw an empty bottle through the nearside window - fortunately no-one was injured.
A police spokesman said: "This was a particularly stupid act of criminal damage which could very easily have ended in tragedy.
"It is important that we are able to identify all those who were involved as quickly as possible so that we take the appropriate action to reinforce that this sort of anti-social behaviour will simply not be tolerated."
Anyone with information can contact PC Tessa Whaley at Hereford Police Station on 08457 444888 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
