PUPILS at a failing Worcester school will return after the Easter break to find a new man at the helm.
Elgar Technology College has appointed an interim headteacher to start the summer term on Monday.
It is hoped David Williams will be the driving force to turn the school around, after an Ofsted inspection put it on Special Measures last month.
He replaces the previous headteacher Tony James, who announced he was taking a secondment to a director's post at County Hall only days before the Ofsted report was made public.
Mr Williams was previously headteacher at a school in Swindon, as well as an international school in Dubai.
Elgar's chairwoman of governors Gill Hellings said: "David Williams is a very experienced head who has taken a school similar to Elgar through the Special Measures process in another county.
"We are fortunate that someone with his background is available at such short notice.
"I am confident that David will make an impact at the school and that real changes will be seen very quickly."
