THE president welcomed members and the speaker, Miss L Goodwin, to our meeting in Bromyard Road Methodist Church Hall. Tea ladies P Fletcher and A Waters were thanked for taking their turn.

P Fletcher was also thanked for the flower arrangement for the president's table, which was a raffle prize.

Birthday cards were handed to two members whose birthdays fall this month. We were reminded of the Easter bonnet competition in April as we have not had a competition for some time.

Kay Newman gave her report from the council meeting which had been enjoyed by everyone The bulb scheme is operating again and C Paterson will collate this. Other correspondence is on notice board.

At the craft afternoon we will be finishing making our padded hangers.

A tour around the refurbished Commandery is a possibility later in the year, as will the Malverns walk.

An invitation to have a promotions stand at the flower show in Cripplegate Park in August, with a rota of members to man it, is to be discussed.

Miss Goodwin then gave a most interesting insight into the history of the streets of Worcester and answered question afterwards, Tea followed and the raffle prizes awarded before the meeting closed.

The next meeting will be on Wednesday, April 18, at 2pm in the Bromyard Road Methodist Church Hall and visitors are always welcome.
