THE mayor of Worcester has a busy period of duties this week.
Councillor Ian Imray, who will step down as Mayor in May after one year in office, is due to meet members of the Twinning Association today at the Guildhall.
The Twinning Association seeks to help the cultural and economic development of Worcester by linking it with foreign towns or cities.
Tomorrow Coun Imray heads to Worcester Warriors Rugby Club, along with Mayoress Joan, to attend Noah's Ark Trust 10th anniversary appeal lunch. Coun Imray made Noah's Ark Trust one of his chosen charities for his year in office, along with Acorns Children's Hospice.
Mayoral duties will then restart on Friday, when he will join the Burgermeister of German town Kleve and members of the Worcester Twinning Association for dinner. On Saturday, Coun Imray will host a reception at the Guildhall to mark the 20th anniversary of the twinning agreement between Worcester and Kleve, before hosting a celebration dinner.
