THE Worcester News would like to point out that Worcester Walks operate every day, morning, afternoon and evening all year round and not just in the daytime as previously printed.

In addition, for the past seven years, the flourishing group has offered 11am daily weekday walks during the summer.

The professionally trained and qualified green badge' guides give walks and talks detailing the history of the Faithful City.

Honorary secretary Miriam Harvey said: "We start at the Guildhall, Worcester, then go down to Worcester Cathedral where we talk about the Old Palace, the river, the history of the river and the Worcester Cathedral itself. We do a lot of Elgar walks and the history of Worcester Porcelain, Friar Street, The Greyfriars and The Comman-dery centre.

"We talk about all the old pubs and the corn trade and the agricultural history of the city - not forgetting the glove making industry.

"There's so much in Worcester and it has a very rich history going back more than 2,000 years."

The group provides special Elgar walks, guides of the county's churches and chapels, and Georgian and Victorian Worcester.

For more information about the daily walks, which cost £4 per person (children under 12 go free), contact Mrs Harvey on 01905 453832.
