A DROITWICH woman put her best foot forward and raised £3,500 after walking the length of the Malvern Hills in aid of Acorns Children's Hospice.
Alison Mason, of Severndale in Droitwich, walked the famous hills at the beginning of March with more than 25 other people - despite the fact the weather on the day was atrocious and they could see just ten yards in front of them.
Ms Mason's fund-raising target was initally £650, but since announcing her challenge more and more people agreed to join her and helped raise the impressive sum.
She said: "It was a tremendous effort by everyone. The conditions were really difficult on the day and everyone did really well."
Acorns Children's Hospice, based in Bath Road, Worcester, cares for life-limited children.
