A COUNTY cricketer has been bowled over by treatment to help his thinning locks.

Anyone looking at Worcestershire and England bowler Kabir Ali running into bowl with his lush, dark locks flowing behind would have wondered what on earth he had to worry about.

But a comment from fellow England international Vikram Solanki about him going thin on top', saw the 26-year-old book straight into a specialist clinic to undergo non-surgical hair replacement.

Now, six months later, the 26-year-old - who is named as one of Britain's 50 most eligible bachelors by Asian Woman and Bride Magazine - has knocked any threat of baldness for six and ensured he holds on to his crowning glory for many years to come.

Kabir said: "I'd never really thought anything about my hair until we were in a training session one day when Vikram observed I was going a bit thin on top.

"It stopped me in my tracks and I vowed to try and do something to stop me following previous generations of my family who had gone bald. So I went and made an appointment at Birmingham-based Optima Hair Specialists Ltd in Birmingham. A friend of mine was already a client at Optima and he urged me to call them see how they could ease my fears and help retain my hair."

Optima have been instrumental in revitalising the appearance and boosting the confidence of hundreds of clients ranging from international footballers and cricketers to postmen, rock stars and lorry drivers.

Managing director, Pete Murtha said: "Whether it's action to prevent hair loss or replacing hair that has been lost, we have the expertise and experience to transform an individual's appearance.

"We're delighted that Kabby is so happy with what we are able to do for him." In addition to working with so many satisfied customers, Optima also offers all its services completely free of charge to young cancer sufferers at Birmingham Children's Hospital who have lost their hair.
