A 600-year-old tradition of ferrying passengers across the River Severn has set sail again in Worcester. The Cathedral Ferry will now take a mix of tourists, shoppers and locals to and fro between Cathedral Watergate and Chapter Meadows every weekend and Bank Holiday until September.
Trained volunteers man the service, which costs 30p a trip, and any proceeds go to local charities including the Cathedral and St Richard's Hospice.
