The first six beauties who are vying for the right to be crowned Miss Worcestershire 2007.
Any of these county girls could go on to represent the Faithful City in Miss England - and even Miss World - if they go far enough.
Applications are still open to anyone aged 17-24 who live in the county and is unmarried at the time of the Miss World final in September.
All applicants will be judged by Worcester News readers once the voting takes place in less than two weeks to form a final heat.
The girls who get enough votes will be invited to take part in a special gala event at Worcester racecourse on Saturday, May 6.
All applications need to be complete and at the Worcester News building by Wednesday, April 11, before voting starts on Monday, April 16. Forms and a copy of the rules can be downloaded from our website www. worcesternews. co.uk/_images/misc/miss_worcester/miss_worcester.pdf. Forms can also be picked up from our offices in Hylton Road, or by calling Roni Skye on 01905 742265.
Completed forms should be sent to: Tom Edwards, Miss Worcester competition, Worcester News, Hylton Road WR2 5JX along with two recent colour photographs - one head and shoulders and one full length.
LAUREN POWELL
Age: 18.
Occupation: Administrator.
Why she entered Miss Worcester: "I'm looking to go into modelling as a career, and thought this was a good thing to do.
"It's the first time I've entered anything like this before and I'm really looking forward to it."
CAT BROOKES
Age: 23.
Occupation: Receptionist.
Why she entered Miss Worcester: "I really enjoy competing, and wanted to enter the competition to help raise my profile.
"I'd like to be a model one day, but I know it's a long-shot. You've got to try, though."
ALICIA POINTON
Age: 21.
Occupation: Model.
Why she entered Miss Worcester: "I aspire to work with Italian fashion photographers in the near future. I have ambitions to become a top fashion model and develop a positive and memorable name for myself."
LUCY HORSLEY
Age: 22.
Occupation: University student.
Why she entered Miss Worcester: "I saw something floating around at university about it, and thought I'd enter for a bit of fun. I'm studying media and cultural studies and thought this would be an interesting thing to do."
CASSIE T
Age: 17.
Occupation: Student.
Why she entered Miss Worcester: "I hope to achieve a successful modelling career as time goes on. I also hope to be a plumber one day as I am taking up a plumbing course next year, but my main aim is to be a well known, popular model."
MELISSA HEY
Age: 20.
Occupation: Beauty therapist.
Why she entered Miss Worcester: "I entered the competition last year and made the final heat, and had a really great time, so I thought I'd enter again.
"It was a great experience and I hope I can be in the final in May."
