TRUCK drivers Adrian Radnor and Nick Frost are taking on the arduous Three Peaks Challenge in aid of Breast Cancer Care.
The friends and colleagues from Bromyard will attempt to conquer Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in 24 hours.
They were prompted to do the fund-raising walk after another colleague's wife was diagnosed with cancer.
The challenge is a gruelling test of fitness and the only rest they will get is on the minibus journey between the three mountains.
Mr Frost said: "We decided to do the challenge after seeing one of the guys at work go through the whole breast cancer scenario with his wife.
"Thankfully, she is okay now, but we wanted to do something because seeing your mate coming to work in a terrible state is no fun for anyone."
As a former rugby player and now cricketer for Bromyard, Mr Frost's fitness level is reasonable. However, he has upped his gym sessions to four times a week in preparation for the walk.
Mr Radnor is a keen cyclist, covering about 150 miles a week. The pair also trek the hills regularly.
So far, they have £955 of the £2,000 that they hope to raise.
