WORCESTER police are looking for a pair of good Samaritans who helped a man after he was attacked.
Police would like to hear from the two women who helped after the man was knocked unconscious in an unprovoked attack in the centre between 2.15am-2.30am on Sunday, March 25.
The man was walking alone in Angel Street when he was hit on the head from behind by what he believes to be one of two men.
The women helped the man when he was on the ground, but he does not know who they are.
He was treated at home for his injuries by his partner, who is a doctor.
A police spokesman said: "Not only would we like to thank these two women good Samaritans for their assistance to the victim, but we would also like to talk to them about what else they saw.
"They may also have vital information that will help in identifying the assailant - or whether there was more than one.
"There were not many people around at the time, so the information the women may have could be of considerable importance to the enquiry."
The women or anyone else in Angel Street, near Shakeeys restaurant, between the given times is asked to contact police on 08457 444888 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
