A COUNCILLOR has labelled the lack of double-decker buses on Saturdays in a Worcester neighbourhood as "positive" news.
Cllr Brenda Wheeler, of St Peter's Parish Council, has championed residents' concerns over the tall vehicles and is pleased travel company First Group appears to have stuck to its pledge of no double-decker buses on Saturdays.
She provided the update at a parish council meeting on Monday (April 27).
A row over double-decker buses erupted in February when homeowners in Falcon Close, St Peter's, claimed prying eyes from the top level into their gardens posed a privacy and safety risk.
The parish council agreed to take up the cause and is still seeking a meeting with the transport firm.
