FAMILY and friends who walked from Worcester to Birmingham for charity are all set for a return trip.
Mum Pauline Lea is running the London Marathon this year and needs to raise £1,400 for the Children's Society to confirm her place.
We previously reported in October, how her husband Kevin, and son Lee Garmory, walked 30-miles along the canal to boost her fund-raising efforts. And now the team, which includes Philip Day, landlord of the Cavalier Tavern, St George's Lane North, Worcester, will walk in the opposite direction.
Mr Lea, a 47-year-old machine operator, of Salters Close, Blackpole, said they have already raised more than £800."We're more than confident we will make it," he said.
"We've written off to about 50 local businesses and we've had some quite good responses in the past.
"We're going to give ourselves more time to complete the walk this time because we've got a handicapped person coming with us."
The walk starts at 7am from Gas Street, Birmingham, on April 5.
To sponsor the team call Mr Lea on 01905 754974.
