THE Rotary national president was given a special tour of St Richard's Hospice when he visited Worcestershire this week.
Peter Offer (RIBI president) was joined by Ron McKechnie, Rotary D1100 Governor, which not only covers Herefordshire and Worcestershire, but most of the west of England. The purpose of the visit was to show the officials the new hospice, which opened in Wildwood Drive, Worcester, in October last year - specifically the two relative suites and day rooms for which Rotary clubs of Worcester, Pershore, Evesham and Bredon Hill had raised the necessary funds, along with the Inner Wheel.
Both then attended a joint meeting of the Pershore and Evesham Rotary Clubs, hosted by Evesham, at which Mr Offer was the guest speaker. This was the first time either club had had been addressed by the president of the Rotary clubs in the British Isles.
