HELPFUL, energetic people who have a few hours to spare are being sought by the British Heart Foundation to volunteer to help collect and sort donation.
The BHF shops in Worcestershire and Hereford, which rely on donations of clothes, shoes, books, CDs, accessories and bric-a-brac, need volunteer drivers to collect donations from people who can't bring them into the shop themselves, as well as to transfer items from the shop floor to the stock room.
They want volunteers who have their own transport and a friendly smile to spare a few hours a week.
Regional manager Terry Rolfe said: "Most people know someone affected by heart disease and by joining the team of BHF shop volunteers you'll be helping to beat it.
"Without the help of local volunteers, BHF shops would not be able to raise the £9.6 million they do every year.
"So if you have a few hours to spare each week and want to make a difference in your community, pop in to see the manager at your local BHF shop."
