POLICE have released images of an Aladdin's cave of stolen gear in the hope of reuniting the property with its rightful owners.
Victims of burglary are asked to look through a haul of hundreds of items seized by detectives.
The investigation focuses on north and south Worcestershire, but police believe some of the recovered items could come from homes throughout the West Mercia force area.
There is a strong likelihood that the Bromyard area of Herefordshire, Rock - an area near Tenbury Wells - on the south and north Worceste-shire division boundaries, and Cleobury Mortimer, Shropshire, may have been targeted. Homes in Telford and Wrekin may also have been raided.
Police have issued 25 photographs featuring some of the 100 items that were recovered from an address in Bewdley on Tuesday, February 13.
Detective Sergeant James Bayliss, of south Worcester-shire CID, said: "We believe that the majority of these items - which will be of great sentimental value to the loser - are the remnants of burglaries. Among the many hundreds of items there is only one that police know, for certain, was stolen before the end of October 2005 - a statue of a woman and a dog.
