THERE were many items to discuss at the February meeting. Applications to be sent out for meetings, outings and social events, also subscriptions to be paid. We have a painting day in March when many of us will be using oil paints for the first time. We all seemed to be in a cheerful mood but of course it was St Valentine's Day and the sun was shining!

The speaker was Catherine Clark talking about Hats Is My Life. She brought along many beautiful creations, including a fascinating frothy little number attached to the hair with a comb. She modelled them herself and told us a lot about her interesting life. Her hats can be hired so they give a reasonably priced accessory for that important occasion. She answered many questions and chatted to members after being warmly thanked for her visit. Refreshments followed with social time, the raffle was drawn with several prizes to be won.
