POTENTIAL poet laureates are being invited to help commemorate Worcester's history with words.
Worcester Heritage at Tudor House in Friar Street will be supporting World Poetry Day in March and are asking members of the public to write poetry that either celebrates life in the Faithful City during Tudor times, or is relevant to the life of Tudor House itself.
Following World Poetry Day, on Wednesday, March 21, the entries will be on display at the Tudor House for two weeks during which time visitors will be able to read and vote for their favourite poem.
The winner's prize will be tea and cake for four people in the Tudor House.
Send all poems to Helen Wallis, Tudor House, 38-42 Friar Street, Worcester, WR1 2NA, or e-mail them to Helen.Wallis@btopenworld.com with the subject line TH Poem.
