TECHNOPHOBES are being offered the chance to find out what the internet can offer them thanks to a new, free service.

myguide aims to give everyone in Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Shropshire the chance to discover how to do everything from sending e-mails to buying groceries online.

Nearly 600 people in the West Midlands have already phoned the free myguide helpline on 0800 015 8815 to find out more about what the internet can offer and where to find their nearest myguide centre.

There are 60 centres across the West Midlands including one at the YMCA in Henwick Road, St John's, Worcester.

Victoria Bristow, West Midlands myguide manager explained: "It's never too late to make changes to your life. Using the internet can save you time, money and hassle.

"With myguide anyone can learn how to send an e-mail and discover what the internet can offer them. From buying the groceries online to keeping in contact with friends and relatives abroad, opening up an online savings account to researching a hobby, everyone has something to gain."

myguide was launched in the West Midlands last month by radio DJ Tony Blackburn.

Specially-trained staff of-fer one-to-one support in trying out the internet and sending an e-mail for the first time.
