THE jury in the trial of folk singer Roy Harper have returned a not guilty verdict relating to the charge of indecent assault on a 16-year-old girl.
The girl had alleged an assault took place when she visited him at his home in Marden, Herefordshire, between May 23, 1980, and January 1, 1981.
Jurors still have to reach their decision on seven other charges.
Harper, 73, has been on trial at Worcester Crown Court for two weeks after he denied accusations dating back to the mid 1970s.
