MEMBERS of the public in St Peter’s, Worcester, will have an additional point of contact for any dealings with their parish council shortly.
A new assistant clerk will be recruited by St Peter’s Parish Council to help residents with any requests, queries or problems they have.
The employee will “provide a timely, appropriate and effective response or resolution to all reasonable requests and problems presented” by members of the public.
Local people will be able to contact the assistant clerk by telephone or email.
St Peter’s Parish Council approved the details for recruiting the new assistant clerk at its meeting on Monday evening (January 26).
Councillors agreed a job description, person specification and advert for the position and hope the new recruit will be in post by April.
The role will also involve assisting the current clerk with a range of administrative and financial duties for the parish council.
