ST Peter's Parish Council is planning to increase its council tax precept by about two per cent in the 2015 to 2016 year.
This rise will add 33 pence to a band D property's annual bill.
Councillor Paul Thorlby, chairman of the parish council, described the proposal as a "small increase" at the local authority's meeting yesterday evening (Monday, January 5).
However the precept will not be formally agreed until the council's next meeting on Monday, January 26.
