I got both of these books to read to my 18 month old grandson when he comes and stays, I know that he is a little young to understand yet but as the books have nice, big, clear pictures which show exactly what’s going on and short easy text I know that I can get him to sit and listen and point at the pictures as we go along.
Stanley’s Cafe is about Stanley getting all the ingredients at the cafe and baking a special cake for someone, but you will have to read the book to find out who it is for.
Stanley the Builder is about Stanley building a house with his digger and bulldozer for his friend Myrtle Mouse and he gets help from his friend Charlie. Do they do it? Find out by reading this book for yourself.
I enjoyed reading both these short story books to my grandson and look forward to reading them again when he next visits.
You’re never too young to appreciate books and enjoy nice stories.
Both books are written by William Bee and can be purchased from Random House, £8.99 each.
