ONE of Worcester's most historic buildings was transported back in time today as part of a popular television drama.
BBC One daytime drama Father Brown took over the Guildhall this morning to film scenes for its third series.
Lead actor Mark Williams, known to millions as Ron Weasley's hapless Dad in the Harry Potter films, was on set reprising his role as the crime-solving 1950s Roman Catholic vicar.
A vintage Wolseley police car was also parked outside the building and a new plaque identifying it as the Belvedere Museum was set up on the gates.
The new series is due to be broadcast next year but the BBC refused to divulge exactly what role the Guildhall would play in the drama.
The programme, which last year won Best Drama in the Royal Television Awards, is based on a series of novels by GK Chesterton and is broadcast around the world including in Russia, Japan, Australia and the USA.
