FIREFIGHTERS spent two hours tackling a tyre fire near Worcester.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service was called just before 8.30pm yesterday (Thursday) to the A44 Doddenham after reports of a fire in the open.
A crew from Worcester and a water carried from Leominster attended and found a large quantity of tyres well alight.
They used two hose reels, curtain spray and foam to tackle the blaze and left at 10.30pm.
